Emilio Boyzo's Story

Emilio Boyzo was 17 years old and looking forward to his senior year of high school in 2004.  On July 3, 2004, he was drinking with some friends in Fort Thompson.  He left his friends to drive home.  About 12 miles from his destination, Emilio lost control of his car and went off the road into a gully.  Emilio died at the scene of the crash.

His mother, Marylou Boyzo, recalls the waking nightmare of that day, “ They directed me to a physician and asked me to wait in the room.  He came in and my heart just started breaking at that moment.  I just knew it was not something I wanted to hear.  He told me that Emilio had died.”From Emilio's Aunt's MySpace dedication page

Young Emilio loved playing basketball.  His aunt created a MySpace page dedicated to him, and reminding every young person that underage drinking and driving can leave a family mourning forever.
