On March 29, 2006, Faron DeMarrias was in a truck, driven by his brother, which rolled off the road. Faron's brother was under the influence of alcohol. Faron was seriously injured, suffering major brain damage as a result.

His brother served jail time, as did the clerk for selling alcohol to minors. And while he can now walk with the help of a cane, Faron still lives with the consequences of that night.

"Don't ride with your friends while they're drinking and driving," Faron said. "Just stay home or call a cab from where you are because it could save your life."
